Helping us to cover expenses while Nathan is between jobs.

Waikato

So it's come to this. We have had a point where the fact Nathan is unable to find work is starting to really take a toll on our finances. The last thing I wanted to do was to have to post up here and ask people for donations as it makes it really sink in that we are not financially stable.

At the end of last year, Nathan took on seasonal work for 6 months in order to get out of a job situation that was not providing him with enough hours as they originally stated. We did not think that 6 months down the line it would be so hard for Nathan to find work. Despite having profiles for seek, indeed, student job search, Trade Me jobs, and other job seeking websites, Nathan has been unable to find a job. He has had many phone interviews and a couple of in person interviews but nothing has come from it.

Nathan has applied for just about every job he can possibly find, as his seasonal work has come to an end.

I don't really know what else to put here other than we have tried and tried and tried to no avail and finding something that will work for him for income and financial security.

We have tried contacting work and income but due to the fact there are no current seminars for the job seeker benefit we are unable to get any financial assistance from them. If you are able to donate that is brilliant but if you are not, please share this with people who may be able to help or share it further.

Your donations are so greatly appreciated and means that we can pay things like the power bill and the rent as well as get some groceries. It is starting to really stress us out how tight things are starting to become in the fact that we've stepped down to asking for other people support really explains this. Thank you all so much.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
