Blind Kayaking for Jono

    We got out on Lake Rotoma today. It was so much fun taking the dogs with us. Jono had it pretty easy with Harper. Kathy with Ozzy was more challenging. As Ozzy is a lab x so balance was a bigger issue. Harper being a Chihuahua was much easier.

    We just need a couple of things then we are all set. A better fit life jacket for Jono and a wetsuit for him too. And life jackets for the dog would be helpful too.

    I know neither are overly expensive but are just out of our reach for us right now. Please if you can help that would be amazing.

  • We are picking up a second kayak tomorrow!

    Tomorrow lunchtime we are picking up a second kayak. We are so excited, its hard to put into words. Just a tiny bit more to raise to get 1 more life jacket and then wetsuits. Particularly for Jono because he feels the cold more than I do. More so than most as he has been through chemo a few years ago.

    Thank you for everyone's support. Next, we will be ordering the water proof stickers to put onto our kayaks. To show our thanks to all those who have helped us 😍

  • We have won the auction for a kayak!

    We are picking up our first Kayak next weekend!

    We have chosen to get secondhand gear so we can get out there even quicker.

    One more kayak, life jackets and wetsuits needed then we will be out there!

    So close!

  • Secondhand kayaks!

    We are so close to buying our first kayaks. We have decided to buy secondhand kayaks to get started. We just can't wait to get out there.

    Plus we have had so many friends tell us they would like to come out with us.

    One great mate has offered to help by welding a frame to put on the ute to hold the kayaks. 😍

    Wow we are amazed and humbled by the support shown so far. Over $100 in our first day! We have decided we will be ordering vinyl sign writing of all the donors names to be put on our kayaks to remember everyones help to get Jono out on the water 💜
