Help Bobby and his beloved partner Jean get through this tough time of Terminal Multiple Myeloma Cancer.
Otago
Bobby is a deeply loved life partner of Jean and an amazing father and grandfather to a bunch of very lucky children, Bobby is a well-respected man in the Dunedin community and is always more than happy to lend a helping hand without complaint instead of thinking about his health and himself first.
On March 20th 2015 Bobby has been diagnosed with Terminal Multiple Myeloma (Cancer of the bone) and has been trying to get through this very tough time in his life without asking for any help from friends or family.
The cancer that Bobby has is throughout all his bones in his body and at the highest point his cancer count was 27,000 out if 30,000 being the highest it can be total this is the highest that specialists have seen in someone before. His bones are very fragile and look like honeycomb and it is very hard for him to do daily house hold tasks like mowing the lawn or using a power tool or hanging the washing etc.
This month in March he is going to start the stem cell transplant in Christchurch and will be away from home for 4-5weeks while receiving treatment. We have decided to start a page to help Bobby and Jean pay for bills and travel costs and anything else he needs on a daily basis as Bobby is no longer able to work throughout receiving treatment and to take the worry away and focus on getting through this high risk stage of treatment together.
Bobby’s goal this year is to be healthy enough to fly to his son’s wedding in Australia in August, so if there are any funds left I am sure this would really mean the world to him, even a small donation would help in a huge way
Thanks for your support and let’s get Bobby through this tough time together.
I am making this page on behalf of the immediate family, to help get through the tough times now and ahead and to enjoy the little things in life.
