Bodja's Battle with Lymphoma

Last Monday our world came crashing down. Our beautiful boy Bodja was diagnosed with lymphoma. We are beyond devastated but he's only 3 years old and we know he has the strength of an ox and the heart of a lion. We will not give up on him.

We changed his diet immediately after he was diagnosed to cut out all carbohydrates. South Wairarapa Vets will biopsy his lumps on Thursday to determine how aggressive the cancer is. After the results, we will begin the best course of treatment for Bodja which will include infusions of a drug to combat the tumors growth.

Bodja is our heart and we will fight with him until the end. Treatment for his battle with lymphoma will run in to the thousands. The biopsy itself is $900 and the infusions and blood tests will cost more. We want to give him the best shot at life and the prognosis from the vet estimates that, with treatment, he may have another 3 years with us.

This year has been especially difficult for everyone with covid-19 and the lockdown. Receiving Bodja's diagnosis has made this extraordinary time even darker for our family. We won't give up on our boy.
