Bowden Family

The Bowdens have recently faced some challenging times. Two weeks ago, Harry was diagnosed with cancer that has unfortunately spread and requires ongoing chemotherapy. Despite undergoing surgery on Monday to remove the tumor, it has spread to other parts of his body.

Living in the small town of Riversdale with their 6-month-old son, the family is navigating these tough circumstances. Harry is unable to work full time now, and they do not qualify for ACC. Brooke, known for her macarons through House of Sugary Shenanigans, is focusing on caring for their family, but has had to pause her business.

With frequent specialist appointments, surgeries, prescriptions, and trips to Invercargill and Dunedin, the family is facing significant expenses. WINZ support is not sufficient to cover all these costs.
