Help Bowen Get Gender-Affirming Top Surgery

Hello! My name is Bowen

I am an 18 year old trans-man, and I am saving up for top surgery (double mastectomy)

I have struggled with self image issues my whole life, and discovered through time, it was due to gender dysphoria (the way I feel inside about my gender, vs my physical body does not line up.)

To help with such, I have been taking testosterone for almost 4 months! (As of being written.)

I am currently working as a hairdressing apprentice, earning minimum wage, and everything left over from the week after bills, goes straight to my savings account for top surgery.

I've looked into getting top surgery for free, however the combination of the waitlist, and results I've seen steer me away.

If I'm having such a major change to my body, I need to make sure I'm happy with the results, hence why I am saving to get the surgery performed by Dr. Kamol, at Kamol Hospital in Thailand.

I currently wear a binder every day to work, sometimes for over 12 hrs at a time, and I have developed much back pain, issues with my posture, and ribcage.

The sooner I get the surgery, the better.

Including travel costs, accommodation, and the surgery itself, I'm looking to raise around $17,000NZD - With the help of this fundraiser and my own personal efforts, I hope to get the surgery done as soon as possible!! <3
