Bernie Portenski, competitive marathon runner, will run 65km on her 65th birthday to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson's Wellington.
Nationwide
Bernie Portenski is a competitive marathon runner. Her younger brother has Parkinson's and her partner's father had Parkinson's for approx. 20 years before he passed away.
This motivated Bernie to do a 65km run on her 65th birthday on 26th August. This run is to raise awareness and funds for the great work Parkinson's Wellington does for people with Parkinson's and their families.
Parkinson's Wellington provides support, education and information for people with Parkinson's and Parkinsonian conditions, their families, carers and health professionals. They rely on funding from grants, bequests and donations to keep going.
