I will be completing all 9 of The Great Walks of NZ and climbing some of NZ highest peaks to showcase NZ
Auckland
I've already started my journey here in NZ, I’ve completed mountain biking all the trails in Lake Taupo and Rotorua, in the 2.5 weeks of mountain biking I had ridden 500+km’s.
I’ve mountain biked the Tongariro River Trail camping on the side of the river for 2 nights fly fishing.
I’ve mountain biked the famous 42nd traverse with my best friend over two days camping and fishing.
I’ve mountain biked the 13k one way W2K (Whakaipo Bay to Kinloch) I also added the 9.5 kilometer Headland loop trail.
I’ve mountain biked from Green Lake to Blue Lake in Rotorua.
I’ve mountain biked from Lake Okataina to Lake Tarawera outlet this was a 6 hour ride and 4 hour hike carrying my bike.
I've already tramped/hiked from the tip of NZ, all the way down half of the north island to Taupo.
I’ve completed the 2-3 day hike from Cape Reinga to Spirits Bay which is about to become NZ’s 10th great walk.
I’ve also stayed out at the North Cape for 2 weeks solo, a place that not many people have ever been to or will ever go to because its protected by D.O.C (Department of conservation) and the local Iwi or Maori Tribe. While at the North Cape I stayed on an Island called Murimotu that is only accessible at low tide, I slept on this island for 2 nights and got some very unique photos.
I’ve also completed the 7 hour oneway Cape Brett track.
I’ve completed the Pinnacles in Coromandel staying in a hammock at the very top so I could get photos of the sunrise.
I've Kayaked from Whitianga to Hot water beach in Coromandel where I’ve seen the most amazing blowholes and seen spectacular events while free diving.
I’ve completed the Tarawera Trail to Hot Water Beach, Te Rata Bay, Lake Tarawera.
I’ve summited Mt Tarawera staying at the summit for 2 nights and exploring while waiting for the perfect moment to take photos of the sun rise and sunset also getting unique photos of the volcano and writing about it.
I’ve summited Mt Tohoraha, Houhoro and stayed the night at the top in my hammock and captured the most amazing sunrise on my cameras.
I’ve also completed the first of my 9 great walks, I spent 5 days tramping/hiking and exploring Lake Waikaremoana, Lake Waikareiti and the 5 major waterfalls that drop into Lake Waikaremoana.
I’ve summited Mapouriki 1190m and stayed the night at the top so I could get photos of the sunrise, there is no track to the top of this mountain. Mapouriki is part of the Huiarau Range, Te Urewera, New Zealand and is very isolated, a truly unique place to go as only a handful of people have ever been here.
I’ve spent 2 nights on a catamaran in Pahia, Northland, New Zealand.
I’ve summited Mt Tohoraha (Mt Camel), Houhora, Far North, New Zealand staying the night at the summit and getting a ride back across the harbour in a yacht the next day.
I’ve caught and ridden a wild horse in Te Hapua, Far North, New Zealand while staying with the a local Kaumatua (Maori elder/leader).
I also rode out of the North Cape on a Honda MX motorbike.
I’ve stayed out on unique islands here in NZ that very few people would have ever stepped foot on let alone camped on, one such island is Mahurangi island where I spent two nights during my Kayaking trip around Hahei, Coromandel, New Zealand.
I’ve Boogie boarded down the Kaituna 3 times.
I’ve been to Tauranga and visited 4 water falls in 3 days (listed under waterfalls below) I’ve also captured a beautiful sunset from the Papamoa Hills while in Tauranga.
