In a Mother's Eyes
8 May 2016My sister and her family were interviewed yesterday by Stuff.co.nz . This was a huge decision for her and her husband to make as they are quite private, are not accustom to being in the limelight and do not often ask for help from others. Even after the interview was done, my sister was still wondering whether or not the decision to be interviewed was the right one for her son.....but I know that it was and many others agreed (see video and article here: http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/well-good/79732617/family-rally-to-get-terminally-ill-boy-dream-trip-to-disneyland.html)
The outpouring of love, kindness and hope was received minutes after my sisters heartfelt interview was made available to the public. Even I was brought to tears watching as she recalled the moments she received the awful news of her son's condition. But, what I think many felt was her unconditional love for her son and her focus on staying positive for him and her entire family.
She requested that I share hers and her families love and gratitude with you all. It was so overwhelming for us to receive so many kind, supportive messages for my sisters family. We feel absolutely blessed to be in the company of so many wonderful people of the world! We thank you all sincerely for your help - big or small. It is guaranteed now that Kayden's dream will be fulfilled. 'Thank you' will never adequately express how grateful we are for all the help.
