Donate to help the victims of the biggest flood in the history of Brazil.
International
Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil is suffering one of its biggest floods in history. The last one that registered a similar proportion was in 1941. This climate disaster has taken many lives and left so many more homeless.
Fortunately, my family and close friends are safe. However, many friends had to evacuate their homes, and for those in a safer place (like my mom ), water is running low, and they are in danger of running out. Electricity, food, and petrol are also running low and will soon be gone if the situation does not improve.
Some places don’t get that much rain (like my dad’s hometown), but unfortunately… they are completely isolated, as the roads are blocked and bridges have vanished by the water. In this case, all sorts of groceries are running low and will soon also be gone.
May is usually a month full of celebrations for my mom and me, with Mother’s Day, mine and her birthday coming soon. This year will be a bit different. Our smiles won’t be the same with so much tragedy happening at the same time.
For this birthday we don’t need presents, only your kindness. That money you would spend with a present, or buying us a drink, DONATE INSTEAD.
The money will be then donated to help the families with water, food and shelter.
If you took the time to read everything, thank you so much.
And, of course, thank you for your donation.
A big hug from Camila (daughter) & Cláudia (mom).

Loved ones and their loved ones.
Water, food and shelter for those in need. Funds will be passed to my mom. She is in Brazil and will be able to buy water and food to distribute to whoever needs it. If there is more money left, we will send it to the government account, which will then use the money to rebuild people's houses, roads, and bridges.
Your kindness helped a dear friend of mine, Thank You! 7 September 2024
Your kindness helped a dear friend of mine. Her mother and grandmother lost their house, furniture, clothes and all the memories they had in their home with the flood. They had to move to a much smaller place and restart their lives. Your donation helped my mom and I buy them a couch and washing machine. The couch was very important for them, as the grandma has mobility issues and spends a lot of her time sitting at home.
I met my friend in 2009. We have been friends since then, and even though we don’t talk often, she is one of the few friends that I always visit when I come back home. I've been to her mom's house a few times; they were always lovely to me. Helping them was a great honour to me. THANK YOU for helping me achieve that.
Thank you so much Jess! Your kindness means hope for those who lost everything. Much appreciated.
