Help the Breaker Bay Hall keep its (financial) head above the water.

Once again our Breaker Bay Hall needs your help. We are running a new Give-a-little campaign to boost our coffers, which have run a little low over these strange Covid days.

Whether you have used the hall for a birthday, a wedding, a games evening, a quiz, a sing a long, a funeral or a celebration – the Breaker Bay Hall is not just for the Breaker Bay/ Moa Point/ Seatoun community – it is for the wider Wellington community.

Our hall hire income has been barely existent for the past two years and we need extra income to help us pay some insurance and fix a few things on the hall.

We are confident we are nearing the end of this survival period and happy dancing days are nearly here again. Help us to keep on keeping on.

We appreciate any donation that will keep this community institution alive for the future.

Insurance fees for the Breaker Bay Hall

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
