Raising funds to help get to the Asian Powerlifting Championships to attempt to break a WORLD RECORD!
Auckland
My name is Brendon, i am 22 years old and have been Powerlifting since 2015. During that time I have set numerous records both nationally and internationally.
I am a current record holder in the Junior U53kg class for Auckland, New Zealand, Oceania and the Commonwealth.
I most recently represented New Zealand in September last year at the Commonwealth Championships in South Africa where I won 4 gold medals and set 2 Commonwealth records, 2 Oceania records and 4 New Zealand records.
The only record that is outstanding for me is a World record which I am aiming to achieve in December this year at the Asian Powerlifting Championships in Manila.
This is my last opportunity to compete as a Junior lifter and I want to finish it on a high by making history and becoming the best in the world.
I am training the hardest i ever have while balancing this with full time study at AUT for my Bachelor of Sport and Recreation degree. I am pushing my limits both physically and mentally as I really want to make NZ proud.
Powerlifting is a sport not funded in New Zealand so I need your support to get me and my team there.
The funds will be used for flights and accomodation for myself and my support team (Coach and Manager) to Manila, Philippines.
