Brennan Miller is battling Ewings Sarcoma, please help his family raise some funds to pursue some additional treatment options for Brennan.
Auckland
Brennan Miller has been battling Ewings Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer, since he was 15 yrs old, he’s now 19. After his initial diagnosis, Brennan went through extensive chemo and a 10-hr surgery, removing his humorous and shoulder, this was successful, he went into remission.
During the year of remission Brennan slipped off a cliff and severely fractured his femur. His recovery was tough, when he had just started using his leg again, Brennan became unwell, his cancer had returned, showing as multiple tumours in his pleura. This was devastating for Brennan and his family, just 3 weeks prior he had been given the ‘all clear’. Brennan is a battler, they all remained determined to beat this. Brennan has endured many more rounds of chemo & radiation to treat the tumours.
Brennan’s most recent scan shows the cancer in his pleura has shrunk significantly, but he now has tumours in his spine and pelvis. Brennan’s amazing mum & dad (Michelle & Nigel) are doing all they can to help Brennan, some additional options are available, but they cost a lot of money, money the family don’t have.
Many people have asked how they can help, we know times are hard but if you can donate even a small amount, Brennan’s family would be thankful to be able to pursue some of these options.
While supporting Brennan through this, Brennan's family (incl his 2 younger sisters) have set up a charity (The Miller Mission - link below). Any funds not needed for Brennan will be donated to this cause.
I have been friends with Michelle for almost 30 years and have watched her lovely family grow. Me, along with a few of Michelle and Nigel's friends are helping the family raise money so they can pursue some additional treatment options for Brennan.
A consult + treatment plan with an American Ewings Sarcoma Specialist,
Continued treatment with Brennan’s integrative doctor,
A nutritionist specialising in cancer, to help with Brennan's weight loss

Just a quick update to say thank you to everyone who has supported Brennan through this page over the last few months. Brennan and his family are incredibly grateful for all the support received.
Brennan just finished round 2 of his new treatment. After the first round he ended up with neutropenic sepsis and terrible mucositis where he couldn’t even swallow without excruciating pain. He was very sick, so it was a huge relief when he got to go home in time to celebrate his 20th birthday and Christmas.
In his recent round of treatment, Brennan’s had a 20% dose reduction, equating to a whole day cut out of his cycle. He’s very happy not to have chemo on Fridays anymore! Brennan’s oncology doctor explained that the dose in his first round was too high and knocked him for 6, this is why they have reduced the dose this round.
Brennan has needed some help with his blood this week, receiving a total of 4 units of blood this past week. Over the next few days his counts will start dropping, last round it completely wiped out his immune system which is really scary, so fingers crossed with the dose reduction it won’t be so bad this time!
Brennan has been spending a lot of time with his closest friends over the past few weeks, it’s been the best medicine for him.
Things are on hold with the States until we see what this chemo does but Brennan and his family are still looking at all options available including hyperbaric oxygen - he has a scan in around 4 weeks.
