Financial assistance after Bretts sad passing.
Waikato
Brett was a much loved part of the Tapu community, always willing to lend a hand and was a long serving member of the Tapu Volunteer Fire Brigade, as a dedicated firefighter for 22 years, you could always count on Brett to be one of the first to arrive at the station whenever the alarm sounded. He may not have officially made it to his gold star but he was a gold class member with a heart of gold to match. He was a very Cherished friend to many, a loving husband to wife and best friend Wendy for 22 years and fabulous father to the two amazing children they shared together, Josh and Bonnie. Brett spent his working life in the parts department at our local Valley toyota where he was a highly valued team member. Playing darts whenever he could, all over NZ, in recent years he competed in competitions with his son Josh. Unfortunately, Brett fell ill recently and ended up needing to be placed on life support in the ICU at Waikato hospital where he fought a hard battle. With no improvement in Bretts conditions his family had to make the difficult decision to turn off life support and Brett passed away on thursday the 23rd of April.
Bretts passing will leave a big gap in a lot of peoples lives especially his children and the small community of Tapu.
I am a family friend of the Walters family, and grew up with their children.
The funds will be paid to Bretts family to help alleviate and cost involved with funeral and travel expenses and any others costs associated with giving Brett the wonderful send off he deserves.
