Meniere’s Disease is little understood. It effects the fluid balance in the inner ear causing debilitating attacks of dizziness and vertigo followed by gradual hearing loss. Fortunately, it usually only happens in one ear-Warren has it in both! He has suffered from this disease for more than 30 years. Last January, Warren went completely deaf in his right ear, and the joy has gone right out of his Life!

A social, lovely man, he now struggles to follow conversations isolating him from relationships with friends and family. He has become frustrated, lonely and tired dealing with the struggle to communicate. Hearing aids no longer work because his left ear is severely deaf-and that could go at anytime.

Cochlear implants will restore his hearing to his right ear, so that he can get back to enjoying life. However, the cost is high at $50 000, so that is why I am asking friends and family to help bring back joy to Warren’s life by giving a little or a lot. It is not easy for me to ask, but I do this out of Love for Warren. Please help if you can.

Use of funds

A Cochlear Implant-a device which is surgically implanted into the cochlear nerve to restore hearing through stimulation of the nerve. None of the costs for the device, the surgery or the speech therapy are covered under the public system.
