Mobile Art Truck

Long story short, the past year has been an absolute struggle in many ways. I lost someone very close to me - my adopted mum. I took care of her fulltime and when she died last year, my life turned upside down. I couldn't find another job, someone stole my car and I could barely pay the rent by myself. Then I became sick and unable to work until I could get surgery. I have now had clearance from the doctor to resume work. I am a qualified early childhood teacher and I also hold a diploma (with honours) in art and creativity. I volunteer at The Lighthouse Church Drop-in Centre where I teach two IHC groups arts and crafts. They love it and I love teaching them! They go out with a sense of pride and accomplishment which is priceless. This got me thinking about providing a mobile art service for the community in the form of a mobile art truck which I would love to call "Artomobile". I started by ringing around IHC groups and Childcare centres to see if they would be interested in me coming to them. The feedback has been nothing but positive. In fact I have 3 groups who want to book me already! This is where I need your help! I have borrowed money from a friend to purchase a small truck. It cost $4,500. I have $2,000 to go toward paying her back. The truck needs some maintenance including a new step, a spot of rust removed, and the inside wooden panels replaced and painted. Some lino would be great for easy clean up after art activities and I need paint so I can do the signage myself. I will also need a long trestle and some stools plus funds for crafts just to get me started. I have the vision, qualifications and passion to do this for the community as well as to try and earn a living. I just need financial help to get started and I would be so grateful to anyone who can help.
