We are SO EXCITED to share that a few days ago we took a long road trip from Mexico to Houston, from there we caught a flight and headed to Los Angeles. Maggie is now staying at her Dog Inn and yesterday we visited her at her temporary home. She was ecstatic to see us! It was very hard to say farewell but we will see her again in New Zealand in 6 months. Thanks again to everyone who donated towards Maggie's adventure. We couldn't have done it without you!!! :)

For those of you who do not have Facebook you will be pleased to know that you do not need to have a Facebook account to view the page. The link is below :)

We are thinking of creating a Facebook page or a Blog so once the Givealittle page closes all of Maggie's fans can still keep up to date with her journey to NZ. What do you all think? :)

That is a top idea -I'm sure Maggie has a few 'tails' to tell. That girl has had an adventure or two I think.

      Cheers Dee

Please make it a blog, I dont have facebook but would love to see this journey out till its end.

Hi James, think that is a great idea. We need to push for another $5,000. Perhaps friends and family could post on facebook and ask their friends and friends of friends to help? If each person gives one more gift your goal could be reached.

Good luck. Looking forward to seeing Maggie home in New Zealand

Maggie would make a brilliant children's book complete with your wonderful photos - her story is every dogs story really - they just want to be loved.

Bringing Maggie's plight to as many people as possible is a great idea - please do create a blog and be sure to post the link here before your page closes.

      Thanks Sandra :)

Hi Derryn, Kate, Gail and Sandra,

Once we get a blog or Facebook page up and running (or possibly both as we don't want anyone to miss out) we will post the details on Maggie's Givealittle Page so you can all continue to follow her journey home :-D

Sandra - funny that you say that we should do a Children's book about Maggie's adventures because we were just talking about this the other day and we also thought it would make a wonderful book, so watch this space ;)

This is a photo of Maggie and her friend Chop. Chop was a street dog too but he now has a forever home just like Maggie. Maggie will miss Chop but she's super happy that he also has a loving home just like her :)

  • Meet Maggie

      2 February 2017

We thought we would organise a meet and greet for those who would like to meet Maggie when she arrives in New Zealand as we have had some people expressing their interest. This is a wee while away yet as she still needs to spend 6 months in the US but if you are interested please email bringmaggiehome@yahoo.com :)
