My name is Briana, and I am 17 years old. For a while now my biggest goal in life has been to travel and fulfil my potential in as many countries as possible around the world. Whether that be teaching English in Japan, building schools in Peru, working with children in China or exploring Italy I have always had a strong drive to explore the corners of this place we live in.
A couple of months ago I started looking into an exchange to America. With all the political turmoil that is going on over there I have felt so much need to go and support and be a part of the movements that are, and will happen. To stand for standing rock and march for women's rights. Not to mention spending a year at an American high school would be a dream come true, and an amazing place for me to pursue my dream of acting and give me irreplaceable life lessons and experiences.
As im sure you can imagine, this doesn't come cheap. I am working a part time job as a waitress, fundraising, and selling much of my beloved clothes and makeup (the horror) to fund this dream of mine, but I need your help.
Use of funds
Funds raised will go towards the program fee, which is approximately $10,500 and covers flights, school costs, food, housing and all other necessities for my time over there.
Any help you can give me, even if its just sharing my page around to your friends and family would be huge, and so greatly appreciated.
