Broke Girl Needs Help

On Friday 30th October my flat held a Halloween party. I left my laptop on music (because let's face it, my beats always get everyone on the dance floor). It was hidden behind the speaker system safely out of sight with the AUX cord plugged in. Later in the night when I realized no one was dancing (because someone had switched the music to some dirty DNB), I went to change the music and found my laptop screen smashed.

Unfortunately, no one has come forward to take responsibility for their actions, leaving me with a hefty repair cost that I am unable to afford due to being currently unemployed (shot COVID). This is my first MacBook and was a special gift (because even when I was employed I couldn't afford one lol).

We have been to two different repair shops and have been quoted $800 and $1000 for the screen replacement. Unfortunately, I don't have insurance and I am unable to cover the cost of someone else's mistake. I would really really appreciate that if you attended our party if you could please make a contribution where possible towards the repair cost. Anything helps, and I will be so so grateful for any contributions!
