Broken but fighting

Take the financial pressure of my partner and I can recover without the added stress.

Otago

Hi my name is Jo. I live in the beautiful north Otago on a dry stock farm where I work along side my partner part time. As you can see I ride horses, for both competitive and work. I have unfortunately busted my shoulder, which has led me to have shoulder surgery. This is not covered by ACC, they declined me 3 times. I’m now under the public system. I don’t fit the criteria to access work and income, came just under the limit. So we are left with one income. As we all know the cost of living is going up. My partner will be the sole income earner. This will put added stress on him and myself. I have sat with this for a long time as it’s not my character to ask for financial help. I will be out of work for a good part of a year. I’ve torn my rotator cuff, ac damage a long with other issues. My only goal out of this is to take the pressure of myself and don’t rush my recovery so I can get back to work and do what I enjoy. Any help is greatly appreciated. I wish you all a happy and safe new year.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
