Broly Needs Your Help!

Broly had been a stray cat up until this accident, he was visiting everyday, slowly gaining my trust allowing me to pat, flea and worm him. Suddenly he went missing for 6 days, when he came back he was real messed up. He couldn’t close his mouth, he was dripping in blood, he couldn’t open one eye and he looked like he had been sitting in the same spot unable to move smelling like urine.

Broly had an important tooth removed and a temporary wire put in place allowing him to close his jaw. His mouth will bleed if he eats biscuits, he struggles to eat without making a mess, he has an injured eye and he can’t clean himself properly.

The vet we originally took Broly too stated he would need jaw surgery as it won’t heal properly otherwise he would have to euthanise him. Since it is known to be an advance surgery we researched for a vet that is familiar with the surgery. At the consultation appointment the surgeon said he’s doing really well with healing, the surgery is not urgent and could possibly make it worse. He recommended to get full body x-rays as there could be internal injuries. Broly will have to get regular checks up at least every two weeks until his jaw and eye is completely healed. The vet bill from the consultation was $229.70.
