Help us to provide a special cot for babies that need it most so they can remain with their Mothers after birth, on behalf of our Bronnie. x

Kia Ora Everyone,
As many of you will know my wife Bronwyn was an independent midwife who delivered babies at North Shore Hospital. It was a job that she was not only very good at but one in which she took great pride.
As a tribute to Bronwyn, we are fundraising to be able to gift a very special cot to the maternity unit at North Shore Hospital. This cot will allow babies that would otherwise have to go to a ‘Special Care Unit” to instead remain at the bedside with their Mum’s (for important bonding time). We know that Bronwyn would be incredibly proud of this. The cost of the cot is between $5000-$6800.
We will be organising several different fundraising events over the next few months and anticipate that we will be able to donate the necessary funds to the Well Foundation to purchase the cot at around the time of the one year anniversary of Bronwyn passing away in February. One of these events is my very first triathlon.
Before Bronwyn passed away I promised her that I would concentrate on my own health and so on June 6th I put my wine glass down and have taken up swimming, biking and running. To date I have lost over 15 kgs. I decided to set myself a health goal… so… in just over two weeks’ time I will be participating in my first triathlon (Panasonic triathlon at Mission Bay Dec 4th). I’m hoping that many of you will find it in your hearts and wallets to sponsor me to complete this challenge.
Please see the gallery for before and after photos of my transformation.
We will be updating this page regularly with information about our fundraising events over the next few months.
Any amount donated would be truly appreciated by us and the babies. All money raised will go to the Well Foundation.

We are the family of Bronwyn Catley, (her Wife Coral, and her Daughters Gemma, Sarah, Nicola and Chloe). Bronnie was a loving and caring mid-wife who we lost on February third of this year to MSA. Our Bronnie was a proud mid-wife, and babies were so close to her heart and we know this will make her very proud. All funds will go to the Well Foundation to aid in the purchase of a special cot for Babies.
