Brooke’s Social Sciences Europe Trip!!

Brooke has been given this amazing opportunity to attend her schools social sciences Europe trip in September of 2025. She is a high achieving geography student achieving excellence in her 2024 exam and has been offered to take the scholarship geo exam in November this year. This trip will bring great excitement and educational knowledge to her benefit.

Brooke is asking for anyone who is willing and able to help donate to support her attending this trip as unfortunately she has suffered a lot of hardship over the past few years and cannot afford to get on this trip without the help from others. Some of these hardships have included. Having a single parent and stepping up into the “parent” role for her siblings, being in the care of oranga tamariki for 6 years, abuse, and the loss of her eldest sister Jazmin.

Although these hardships have set Brooke back, it hasn’t stopped her from giving everything her best shot and achieving great things. In Brooke’s sport recently she has achieved being able to represent her region, Canterbury in the 2025 New Zealand Track and Field Championships. Getting 2 personal bests and coming 7th and 8th overall in her events. She has a strong dedication torwards hockey and has put her blood sweat and tears throughout her 10 years of playing. Also in June of 2024 Brooke was able to get a $6000 scholarship to attend Outward Bound which has changed her perspective on life. This couldn’t have been done without the support of her friends and family.
