Brooklyn School AIMS Games Girls Futsal Team
Brooklyn School Girls Futsal Team are raising funds to compete in the AIMS games in Tauranga 2022.

Our girls would love to go to the AIMS games in Tauranga so we put this page up to help fundraise!
The AIMS Games is a huge sporting event with over 10,000 participants, competing in 23 sports from over 320 schools from around New Zealand and other invited countries. More information about the AIMS games can be found here: https://www.nzaimsgames.co.nz/
Our girls will be competing in the Futsal tournament. Futsal is like indoor 5 aside football but with smaller goals and pitches. Most of the girls play regular soccer, but are coming together to form a new Futsal team so they can compete in the AIMS Games.
When asked why the team wants to go to the AIMS Games, team member Taby explained:
"We would love to go and compete because we are passionate about sport and this is the biggest sporting event for 11-13 year olds in the southern hemisphere! It's going to be an amazing experience being part of such a big event and representing our school. We are very, very excited to be going, from the road trip to Tauranga, to staying away from home for nearly a week, competing in the event and all the Futsal practice building such a cool team."
Meanwhile, in the background there are many parents helping out with logistics and coaching etc to help our girls create memories of a lifetime! We would all really would appreciate your support!

This Givealittle Page has been set up by a group of parents of the futsal team, who are working along side their daughters to help raise funds for this trip of a lifetime.
The team members are: Taby, Eva, Charlotte, Maya, Ella, Phemie, Beth and Miriam.
Use of funds
The money we raise will go towards helping our girls go to the AIMS games in Tauranga:
Including travel ($2,000), 5 nights accommodation ($6,500), food and uniforms ($1,500).
We have already raised $2,000, and are looking to raise another $8,000.
Funds will be paid out to the treasurer of the team.

AIMS Games wrapped up with a hard earned win! 12 September 2022
The girls are back in Wellington after an amazing time at the AIMS games.
It was a real eye-opener to the incredible level of sport across New Zealand.
The two finalists were both in Brooklyn's round-robin group - no wonder it was so tough!
Although a challenging tournament, the girls had a fabulous time, and they finished on a win in their final game!
