Bruce the Cat, a sweet old boy with an enormous hole in his face needs urgent dental surgery.
Queenstown, Otago
Meet sweet old Bruce, a cat in desperate need of your help. A member of the public got quite a shock when they found an unknown cat with a gigantic hole in his face hiding in their bedroom wardrobe one night! The rushed him to the vets, poor Bruce was skinny, confused and had a horrible infected wound on the right side of his face that has become infected and has eaten away at poor Bruce’s face. You can see right through the hole to both rows of his teeth, which are rotting and broken. It must have been causing him a significant amount of pain to eat, which has contributed to his thinness.
Bruce’s sad story began when he went missing from his previous owners 3 years ago. The past 3 years Bruce has been scavenging for his survival and bouncing between houses. Once he was under the care of Petfirst Vet Clinic in Queenstown, the nurses and vets carefully cleaned his face, gave him a warm and safe bed to sleep in, some tasty food, and maintained pain relief to ensure he is comfortable. Despite a good section of his face missing, Bruce is a wonderfully sweet natured boy, who loves human attention and has a beautiful meow. Please, consider giving a little to help pay for his dental surgery.
I am a veterinary nurse at Petfirst Queenstown where Bruce is currently being looked after. Bruce has been missing for 3 years and has been living rough ever since.
This funding will support the costs associated with this much needed dental surgery.
