Save the Women's Shed Queenstown - it's time to build our own Shed!

    Kia ora everyone,

    Thank you so much for supporting and being on this journey together. This year has been busy with fundraising and planing how the new shed will run, what membership options we will have and how everybody will be able to access the amazing new space we are building!

    We are set to behind construction end of Feb/early March depending on how fast we can raise the final amount required so please help us along by sharing this page with your networks and helping spread the word about what we are build together here in Tahuna Queenstown x

  • Big Shed News!

    We spent the afternoon out in Cromwell with Hamish at Cyclone Sheds to talk through our shed build! We will be building a 5.5m x 18m Women’s Shed!

    We’ve moved away from timber framing to a steel framed portal shed to speed up the build time and also bring the costs down to make all of our shed dreams come true!

    Thank you everyone again for being in this journey with us and supporting our mahi.

    The next update will be shed plans! 👀🙌🏽

  • Quiz night success

    Thanks to everyone who came along to our Quiz night fundraiser on Sunday! We had such a great time with you all!

    Everyone who showed up directly contributed to the building of our new shed! We raised a total of $3000 between ticket sales & the silent auction.

    Massive thanks to the local business who supported us, Real NZ, Shotover Jet, KJet, Highlands Cromwell, Fuller, Odd Saint, Mitre10 Mega, Bunnings, Queens Workwear.

  • We’ve secured a $155k grant to help build our shed!

    Thank you to everybody who has donated to the Women’s shed over the last few weeks. We are really feeling the community love! 🫶🏽

    We have exciting news to share, we’ve heard back from one of the funders who has granted us $155,000 to go toward our shed.

    We now need to raise an additional 200k to make our shed dreams come true! We’ve got our fingers crossed for further grant application outcomes to be good news - again, a huge thank you to everybody for your support! 🤎
