Walking the length of New Zealand to raise money and awareness for kids and families affected by cancer
Porirua, Wellington
In November, I’ll be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life. walking the Te Araroa Trail from the bottom of the South Island to the top of the North Island of New Zealand.
But this walk is about much more than simply crossing the country.
My cousin Brody was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, and seeing the impact cancer has had on him and our family has made me want to do something meaningful. Brody has always had an incredibly easy-going attitude towards life, and his motto has always been “built different.” That mindset has inspired me throughout this journey.
I know one walk won’t change the world, but I believe we can use it to bring people together, raise awareness and make a difference for children and families affected by cancer.
I’ll be walking through mountains, forests, roads, rain, mud and whatever else New Zealand throws at me, carrying this cause with me every step of the way.
I’m raising money for the NZ Kids Cancer Foundation, supporting children and families affected by cancer.
You don’t have to donate a lot. Even $5, $10 or simply sharing this page can help. When enough people come together, small actions can become something much bigger.
This isn’t just my walk. It’s for Brody, for the kids fighting cancer, and for every family walking that journey alongside them.
**Every step counts. Every donation counts. Every share counts.**
Thank you for being part of the journey.
