Help us raise money for the 48 hour film festival 2019!

Wellington

Hi! We are Bus Stop Productions. We are a group of teenagers from Wellington, New Zealand who make films. We called ourselves Bus Stop Productions because we started to notice that many of our films feature a bus stop. And we believe a Bus Stop is where you wait for something to come, and we are constantly waiting for the next project that we can throw ourselves into and the people we can meet. The video above is called Retrospect. We entered this in the 2018 Roxy5 competition, and it received best music and best costume.

Finn Culver and I, Grace Medlicott, are cousins and we started making films at age 8 on our phones and using Imovie, and as our skills increased so did our venture, we now have 20+ people part of Bus Stop Productions who love it as much as we do.

We have won various competitions, such as the 2017 Roxy5 short film festival, 2018 Canberra Short film festival under 18s, and have made a film for the New Zealand Office of Film and Literature Classification.

We are currently preparing for the New Zealand 2019 48 hour film festival, where we make a short film in 48 hours, which is an insane feat considering it normally takes us well over 150 hours to make a 5 minute short film.

To do this, we need you. We have to pay the entry fee of $250, props, costumes, and feed our 17 wonderful people involved in the process. If you could donate whatever you can it would be greatly appreciated, we need every cent we can get. Whatever we don't use in 48 hours, we will put towards whatever our next project is.

I am the producer for Bus Stop Productions, a group of teenagers who make films. We are trying to fund our next project, the 48 hour film festival! (the funds are going to my dad, Richard, because the account holder must be 18 or over)

Use of funds

Food for 17 hungry teenagers, props, costumes, entry fee. Whatever we don't use, we will put towards our next film projects budget.

Gracd Final Results  19 August 2019

In the weekend, 7 of our group went to Auckland for the weekend by ourselves to attend the grand finals. We flew up Saturday morning, and flew back home Monday 19th at 7am.

On the Saturday night we all wandered down to the civic theatre and watched the top 18 films made, then they were announcing the winners. They got to the national school catagory and we won!!! We have won $1000 to go towards future films, and a fancy certificate.

Once again thanking everyone who donated, you can say you paid for an award winning film now!

I can't attach the link for some reason, but if you want to see the film, search up "Finn Culver" on YouTube and it's called "The Talk"

Many thanks from us at Bus Stop Productions
