  • Shan is doing great

Shan is doing really well, he is doing exercises everyday trying to get weight on that leg and he can wriggle his fingers but that's about it, I visit him every week and defiantly can see him improving, Shan is overwhelmed by all the love and support around him. His next big step is moving to Waikato Rehab Centre where the hard work will begin.

  • A bit of time in a chair

It takes a lot of effort and as Shan is not allowed to put any weight on his leg whatsoever he is hoisted into the chair, it's painful as any movement in his knee is excruciating so it's massive to see him smile xxx

Well we were a little optimistic about the chair, that's a little way away, but they changed his cast on his arm today. You are one tough cookie Shan, seeing the pain in your face just trying to get comfortable in bed is heart breaking

I will share the x-ray of all the pins in his arm and leg but can only post one pic per update.

The skin-graph on his hand has taken well.

At the moment just sitting up in bed and having his leg over the bed with the help of his physio is a huge effort and very painful but he next step is to get into the wheelchair.. we know you can do it Shan!!

He is allowed zero weight on his right leg and arm so not saying it won’t be a challenge xxx
