Business and Livelihood Destroyed

Lets pull together and help someone that's helped so many rebuild his life. Thank you for helping, and thank you for caring.

Waikato

Shannon was driving to work on Thursday morning with no idea his business, his mobility, his baby (pump truck) will all be gone in a blink of an eye.

We look at you lying here in this hospital bed at no fault of your own and the mess your body is in …. pins in your leg, hand, wrist and forearm, 4 blood transfusions, three major surgeries, with no doubt more to come.

The doctors said they can't believe with the extent of his injuries there was no brain or organ damage which we are so grateful for to say the least.

Months if not years before being back on his feet properly.

If you know Shan you know him for his sense of humor, his hard work, he is one of those guys you know you could call anytime and he would be there.

Now we have to ask for you to be there for him.

At the moment they live in there dream home on wheels which is defiantly not disability friendly.

Even with the help from ACC they are going to find the months ahead a challenge!

They need to find new accommodation for when Shan gets out of hospital for him to heal is one of the first hurdles, with so many more we haven't even thought of yet.

After reading the fine print of his life policy, they don't have the coverage they thought they did (please use this as a lesson to take the time to read yours and make sure its right)

If you would like to visit Shan once he is in a ward please give Debs a call, I know Shan would love to see you.

Lorraine Murray's involvement (page creator)

Shan is my brother, I am the oldest but he is my big bro and all us siblings know he is always there when we need him. His big bear hugs just fixes everything, I just wish I could fix him right now. My heart is breaking.

Use of funds

To help Shan and Deb rebuild their lives. To help with expenses while Shannon is doing the hardest job of all - fighting to get back on his feet!

Shan is doing great  16 August 2021

Shan is doing really well, he is doing exercises everyday trying to get weight on that leg and he can wriggle his fingers but that's about it, I visit him every week and defiantly can see him improving, Shan is overwhelmed by all the love and support around him. His next big step is moving to Waikato Rehab Centre where the hard work will begin.
