Business level up

Hi there, this Givealittle page has been set up with a few goals in mind. Currently, I'm working supplying firewood and culling possums for fur. I currently cut up and split and load firewood by hand, and deliver it by the trailer load. I run around 100 leg traps for possums and handpluck the fur. I would like to be able to expand on both those things with some upgraded equipment such as a tipping trailer, my own hydraulic log splitter, some more traps and a motorised plucker. Machine plucking possums means I can start to profit from the carcass also and requires a chest freezer/chiller to maintain the carcass without spoiling for a fortnight at a time. I also have the opportunity to harvest some family-in-law pine trees. I have experience in this industry but need the right machinery. I want to be able to run this as a one man operation as much as possible, although am aware that I'll need a second person as required for the high risk aspects of the job. None of this works if I don't go home safe at the end of every day. I don't want to run with the big boys running 8 men and 40 ton machines all over a hill needing 300+ ton per day. 300 ton a month is fine and I want to transport the logs myself. Part of my vision is to take the bigger half of the log for export and use the lesser valued small end for firewood. A proper production firewood processor would be added in time as would a portable mill. I'm more than prepared to work my arse off for these goals, just need a start.
