Please help Buster pay off his big vet bill ❤️🩹
Wellington
Buster was adopted from Rachel Rescues at our first big adoption day back in April ❤️
At only 6 months old Buster has unfortunately run into some bad luck 😔 Due to no fault of his own Buster had to undergo surgery as his gastrointestinal tract was folding in over itself - like a folded in sock, and was double the size. 😱
A big thanks to Valley Cottage Vets, and to Vet Alice for coming in on her day off to complete the surgery - she's a soft tissue wizard! 🪄 Surgery took a whopping 2 hours and half of Busters gastrointestinal tract was removed and will be sent away for testing.
This freak occurence did not happen due to a physical injury - the cause is usually worms, but we have all been very diligent with upkeeping his worming treatment, especially as Buster was born into Rachel Rescues care along with 6 other siblings! Poor Mumma Georgie 😂 Otherwise it is unfortunately just that - a freak occurence, and happens in cats under 1 years old.
Buster is a tough little lad and is already recovering well ❤️🩹 He is strictly crate bound, donning a fashionable cone and on several medications. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly towards his vet bill which was $3011. Thank you all.
Chrissy is my mother.
