Help Ineke share the story of her miracle daughter Hannah, who defied all odd’s and despite her size, lived life big leaving a legacy.
Auckland
Hannah Smith was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta in utero (brittle bone disease) and at 25 weeks gestation her parents were given the option of termination of the pregnancy. This was not an option for her parents and beautiful little Hannah was born 28 October 1997.
Hannah was instantly loved by her family, especially older sister and brother (Aimee and Nathan) who wanted lots of hugs and were told because of her fragility "only butterfly touches".
As Hannah grew her zest for life, her humour, sass and personality more than made up for her cute small stature. Hannah looked forward to her 10th birthday and 'growing boobs'.
Hannah didn't get to achieve those goals as she went to be with Jesus on 4 July 2007. A grief so deep because there was great love. "Hannah's best and my glory" God's promised whispered to Ineke's heart as Hannah took her last breathes.
Having Hannah taught Ineke a lot about life, grief, love, loss, joy, peace and character. Ineke would love to put this into a book, not your typical book, one that has reflections of life, of grief, of hope, of peace and of a little girl who's life had a huge impact on her family, friends and those that saw her and met her, be it on national television on 60 minutes or around town. People that talk about her, people who share her story - in doing so bless and challenge us and glorify God for her life.
Please help Ineke make this dream a reality!
Ineke will be taking some time to create this book over the next few months. All help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much
