Bags of love are delivered to our Older and disabled people ensuring that they have have something special for Christmas

Every Christmas Communicare reaches out to the community to support its cause to support the Older and disabled people we care for. Every day around Auckland there is a centre that opens its doors for community who feel isolated and lonely. They come together to engage with new friends, enjoying games, activities, outings, all supported by donations.
With over 300 people connected to Communicare we ensure that 'bags of love' a given to each person so they have activities and treats for the christmas period. Often this is all they are given.
Donations will go to treats for bags of love and are delivered by volunteers to registered Older and Disabled people in the community.
About us
1959 Communicare was established to support civilians who were maimed in the war to come and meet others. Now we remain strong as we continue to support seniors and disabled people, as they come together for friendship and support.
Use of funds
All of the donations goes towards bags full of treats and activities to entertain our older and disabled people, who often do not receive anything at Christmas
