Off grid cabin prototype
Waihi, Waikato
Over the last few years I've had to move several times. I had been living in small cabins that I had built and I could not take them with me. As a result, I have learned the importance of having a transportable home.
I have come up with a design for a cabin that can be moved easily by 2 people and a ute or small trailer.
This eliminates the need for expensive hiab fees and allows for a wider range of sites. Hiabs require vehicle access and large level areas to be able to operate.
My design will allow this cabin to be set up anywhere 2 people can carry the panels and has a clear space of at least 8 square meters.
I'm aiming to raise $15,000 for materials and a bit of living expenses while I'm working on the prototype as well as a bit of money to hire professionals to aid in solving problems that my arise.
If I achieve the goal of $15,000 I will make my plans open source for anyone who wants to build one for themselves, and a video showing how to build it.
For anyone who donates $500 or more I will give them the plans even if I don't reach my goal.
All donations will go toward materials, professional help and living expenses for the duration of the build.
