Cam Pomana to World Water Polo Championships

Hello! I’m Cam Pomana and I have been selected for the New Zealand Men’s U18 Water Polo Team, as we compete at the 2018 World Men's Youth Water Polo Championships.

This means I will be going to Montenegro and Hungary! I’m so excited for what will be a great experience. The trip costs $8,500, so I need assistance to raise some money NOW. This page has been set up to help me on my quest to excel at the highest level, both nationally and internationally.

Our team are travelling to Montenegro for just under two weeks to attend a training camp. This will be followed by us competing at the World Men's Youth Water Polo Championships in Szombathely, Hungary, 11 – 18 August 2018.

I am a member of the Manawatu Water Polo Club, the Regional Training Squad and a C-Grade Referee. In addition to being Captain for the Palmerston North Boys High School Premier A Team, I play a big role in developing players in the Manawatu. I’ve had the privilege of coaching U14 and U12 Manawatu teams. I am passionate about Water Polo and developing skills of both myself and of players around me.

This is an amazing opportunity for me to have some high level training and to be able to compete against some of the best age group players in the world. Being given this great opportunity is an amazing life experience for me BUT it also comes at a huge cost. All trips away are self-funded and any help in raising the money to get me there will be greatly appreciated. The funds raised will go towards the cost of flights, accommodation, uniform, food, equipment, weekend training camps in Auckland and other associated costs of the trip.
