Cancer Nurse needs your kindness

Thought it was time for a brief update.

Anna has had her first few months of pre-surgery treatment which came with every debilitating side effect going. Unfortunately this meant more time spent in hospital than originally planned which has been hard both emotionally and financially

Surgery was the next hurdle/milestone in the journey. This too was complicated and resulted in a second surgery. You can only imagine how tricky this made things for Andy as he manages his own business and cares for his 3 small children and wife who has spent weeks in the confines of a wheelchair.

Now that Anna is almost able walk short distances she is able to enjoy those special moments with her children, like swinging in the park, bath time and snuggles before bed.

Currently Anna is spending lots of her time in hospital again and she is having more intense chemotherapy which has a few months yet to go.

The overwhelming support has been truly appreciated by Anna, Andy and their wider family. For the Philips however, the journey is far from over.
