Hi all, we took Freddie to CareVets in Glen Eden today. The vet recommended a biopsy to confirm the first vet’s diagnosis as he believed that it could also be blunt force trauma to Freddie’s nose. The vet suggested that radiation treatment or surgery could costs several thousand dollars and asked us instead to give Freddie some antibiotics to see if it made any difference to Freddie’s nose. We have decided to go ahead with the antibiotics for a week or so and check for signs of improvement before we contact the Western Vet to complete the cancer treatment. Will keep you posted on how Freddie gets on.
How is Freddie doing
Thank you to everyone who helped us reach our goal in a matter of days! I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support that this page has received.
Freddie is eating and drinking well and seems to be in good spirits. He has another appointment with CareVets in Glen Eden on Monday, 5th February as I wanted to get a second opinion on the hyperthyroidism treatment. Depending on how the visit goes, I will either get his cancer treatment completed by CareVets or the Western Vet in Avondale. Again, thank you for helping Freddie ❤️
