Hi everyone! Here's a bit of an update from mum to let you know how things are going. And some good news to pass on!

"Apologies, first of all, for being a little quiet here, but there's been plenty happening behind the scenes, especially where chemo side effects are concerned. But, like everything, they're temporary and they change daily!

The good news is that chemo has now finished ✅️. That's 18 weeks. It's been long, often hard-going, but there have been far more good days than bad ones. That's definitely a bonus. The wonderful thing is that I've been able to keep up with many of my activities - socializing, cycling, walking, music activities etc. I'm feeling really good!

But none of this could have gone so well without the love and support of my family and friends, as well as the support from all of you here too.

    So thank you to everyone!

With stage 1 of the big plan now out of the way, we'll be moving to stage 2. There will be some testing done shortly (CT scans) and then we head to the operation mid May. Meanwhile there's time for me to get fit, enjoy some R&R, and learn about mastectomies and the lymphatic system. The Oncology team and the Breast Clinic staff at Waikato Hospital are extremely kind, helpful and communicative, and I know I'll get ample support from them.

Thank you again and I'll update you all again in May!

    Frances"

To my family and all our collective friends around the world....

I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their incredible support and kindness in donating to our fundraiser and for continuing to share the link to the Give a Little page. I feel deeply grateful and humbled.

This week is important, as I'm now halfway through the chemotherapy treatment, which will take me through to mid-April.

Despite some side-effects, I am feeling well and continue to be positive. I'm loving my slogan of "Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Colourful, Be You" - it ensures that I tackle each day the absolute best way that I can!

    In gratitude,

    Frances
