I need your help to buy a car seat for my son.

Nelson / Tasman

Garrick is 6m old and a healthy, curious & wriggly wee man. He is progressing fast and has grown out of his capsule. I don't ask for help with things often as i am extremely stubborn and like to think i can get everything on my own.

My husband and i are both working parents- my husband full time and i split my time between work and home. We rent- we cant afford to buy a home in our area.

We cant afford to buy a new car seat and have limited second hand options in our area. Hiring is an option but as hes likely to be in it for the next 2 years i think its wiser to buy one right out. The way he is growing i wont have enough saved by the time i absolutely need one.

Im asking those who can to give a little- just a couple of dollars, then we can get him a car seat and tick one of the major expenses off the list (a basic convertible car seat is around $300-$500). It might seem like a small and trivial thing to ask, but for struggling kiwi families a few hundred means staying above the red line for another month.

Use of funds

Any funds raised will be used to go towards/buy a convertible car seat for my son. Any possible excess will be used to get safety gates for the stairs and kitchen.
