Coroners Findings
31 July 2019Just an update - the coroner’s recommendation that Waste Management trucks will be fitted with warning alarms to ensure drivers are aware of anyone who might enter a noted blind spot is a great win. Thank you all for your support - it has helped make a change and our communities and children will be safer because of it.
“As a family we are relieved that after perseverance and appointing legal counsel we now have a coroner’s recommendation that Waste Management must follow up on to keep our communities safe.
“We see this a great win after a huge financial and emotional investment, and one that would not have been necessary had WorkSafeNZ done their job completely.
