Rotary fund raiser event - Carols by Candlelight livestreamed for 2021
Manawatu / Whanganui
For over 40 years this event has been held outdoors at Virginia Lake in Whanganui. Covid restrictions prevent this public event from happening in 2021. However, we still want to celebrate Christmas with great music and sensational singing! So we're bringing the event to you this year live on Facebook (Rotary Club of Wanganui North). Please like and follow our page to watch the livestream at 7 pm on the 12th of December.
All donations received through this page will go to the Rotary Club of Wanganui North and will be used to support local community projects

Carols by Candlelight Whanganui 13 December 2021
Thanks everyone for your support of our different-looking Carols by Candlelight event last night! Live streaming via Facebook was a new experience for us all: our brass band, choir, NZ Sign Language interpreters, Mayor, Father Christmas, our Rotary team and all of our wonderful audience. Although it was disappointing to have to cancel the event at our traditional venue, Virginia Lake, the Rotary Club of Wanganui North is extremely thankful to Cleveland Funeral Home for the use of their chapel and technology to enable us to bring this much-loved Christmas celebration to you. Every dollar of the funds raised will be used to support local projects. We are very grateful your contributions
