Please help my boy get on that plane.
My 14 yr old son has been fortune to have been chosen to attend a American summer camp. We need a little help getting him on that plane.Auckland
My son has been chosen to attend a summer camp in New York next year. His expenses over there will be covered but NOT the airfare or insurance.
He is 14 yrs old and is one of two siblings in a single parent home in South Auckland.
He worked hard to earn a scholarship into Dilworth boys boarding school in 2015.
He has embraced every moment of this journey and taken every opportunity to better himself. He was elected Head boy of the campus, along with being head of house, having a role on the student council, winning the schools ( and regional areas) speech competitions and receiving "Principals all rounder" choice award for 2016!.
This young man has a positive outlook, a drive to learn and a desire to help others. He has proved this by entertaining the elderly at rest homes, helps out at his primary school at mid term breaks, is working on a community project to share some Bible teachings on a Christian radio station and speaking at a youth group.
He will make a positive difference in the world by putting ' his' mark on it through the experiences he is exposed to.
I would love to give him more experiences and are asking for help to put this deserving young man on that plane!.
Caroline Turner's involvement
I'm involved in this case because I'm the Mum. I will be doing my best to fundraise where ever possible, I.e. sausage sizzles out side the warehouse, selling home baking, juices, running raffles and bonus number draws.
Use of funds
The funds are to pay for the airfare and cover insurance's.
