Hi everyone, this update is a long time coming. I have good and bad news. I have waited to update, hoping I would have all good news. But as the weeks tick by I've decided I need to do the update now.

Good news is that Hope is 120% better. She is totally healed and back to her incredibly cheeky, energetic self. It is such a relief and joy every day to see her so happy.

Bad news is that my tumour markers are continuing to rise. For me this has always meant that the cancer is spreading somewhere. My Dr has ordered new scans over the next 2 weeks to ascertain what is happening. It also means that the medication I'm on is not holding the cancer back.

Now that is Hope is better I'm able to focus on my healing again. I've found an acupuncturist who is very good, I'm doing more supplements and changing up the ones I have always taken, I'm continuing with miseltoe and using my ozone machine alot as well. My shoulder blade fracture is alot better but still healing. I'm really hoping to get away in my van, Faith, this summer for some adventures with Hope.

Thank you for all the support over the last few months. Thank also for the continued support from all of you. It helps so much even if you just shared this page for me.

Lot of love and light Carolyn

  • Time for an update

    Hello everyone,

Wow the time is certainly moving quickly. This update is well overdue.

Hope is doing really well. The vet thinks she has irritable bowel syndrome or colitis and that more than likely she has had it for a while. Hence why she is so skinny and little. So will new food, hypoallergenic special food, she is putting on weight and looking so much healthier.

For me I have had a CT scan and a bone scan. These are all I can do through the public system. Now I am waiting for the results which I will get on Monday. The scans are a piece of cake these days, I have had so many. But wow the waiting for results never gets any easier.

I have also been applying for jobs which is a huge task. Cover letters, applications and CV to be done each time. I have had a couple of interviews so really hoping to secure something soon.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported me this last month. It means more than you will all ever know xxxx

  • Update week 1 of the page!

Good morning everyone, thank you so much, firstly, for all the donations. To have so much support just means so much at this hugely challenging time. Life really likes to spring things on you when you least expect it!

Hope is recovering so well from Surgery. We got to the beach yesterday and she was in heaven. So good to see my girl back. Still getting vet bills as the after care from the surgery continues. It has now exceeded 6,000 in vet bills alone.

I am doing testing this week to see why my tumour markers are rising. They will tell you if there is cancer activity in the body. I had been hoping it was just the winter chills making my bones hurt. The scans my public oncologist want to do won't give us a concise picture of what is happening in my bones. On CT scans damage can look like healing and vise versa. The pet scan is the only way to tell the whole story of how much and where the cancer is in your body. I am hoping to raise enough to do the pet scan soon.

Have a great weekend everyone and please if you can share this page, I would really appreciate it.
