Carrying Weight on My Shoulders to Bring Hope to Those in Care
23 year old Running a Marathon (42km) in a Weighted Vest to raise money for Christmas presents for children in foster care.
Many children enter into emergency service facilities during the Christmas period and we would love your support. Sadly the festive season is a peak time for child protection agencies that are faced daily with the reality and severity of Child Abuse, Neglect and Crisis in our local communities.
Our aim is to bring a little bit of sunshine and hope to our most vulnerable children when often hope is lost and grief and depression invade their little lives.
On October 30th I’ll be running in the Auckland marathon (42km) in a weighted vest (14kg). In partnership with Foster Hope, I’ll be raising money for Christmas for children in foster care.

Although the run is the 30th of October we will be raising funds "up until the 28th of November"
To give us enough time to get the presents to those caregivers and centres.

Hey Team I just wanted to reach out and express my thanks to everyone who donated so far. I have been in contact back and forth with foster hope since the beginning of this. Today I have been notified that this campaign alone will be able to cover an entire center of children that they have in their care. The children that are in the care especially over a Christmas period is heart breaking. Thanks to all of you this Christmas will be a little special. From complete strangers. So thank you. As I approach the run now in less then 9 days I am more motivated then ever to run for these children. Not alone. But with your support. I will be updating this page and you every step of the way. If you can’t make it to the run no worries I will be sending you a video through here. But again my thanks on behalf of the children of foster hope, this Christmas.
