Showing our support for the Carterton community and businesses affected by the Carterton High St Fire on October 7.

Carterton, Wellington

We set up this page on behalf of our Carterton community to show support for those impacted by the October 7 fire on our High St.

We feel for the community and the business owners who are really struggling at this time to deal with earthquake-prone buildings, legislation, and strengthening, and also the effects of Covid-19.

We are a resilient town and we know there will be plenty of support for the businesses, building owner, and those affected.

Carterton District Council's involvement (page creator)

As Mayor of Carterton, and as a Council, our community has asked us to show our support for those impacted.

Use of funds

The money will be used for helping businesses and the community recover, and build back better. We also want recognise the work of our first responders.
