Raising funds for cabinet, security and signage for a public AED (defibrillator) so that it's available 24/7 to save the lives!

Fanstastic news - Castlecliff has secured funding for an AED!
So what is an AED you may ask? Basically it's a smart electronic "defibrillator" that can restart a heart when used soon after a cardiac arrest. Without the AED you're looking at a 1 in 10 chance, with CPR and the AED used within 4 minutes you have a greater chance of surviving!
The nice folks at Cigna Insurance have donated the HeartSaver AED (https://www.heartsaver.co.nz) so now we need to fund the installation on the wall near Clifflife/Citadel in Rangiora Street, secured in a codebox and monitored by CCTV.
So if someone has a heart attack you run to the box at 16 Rangiora St, the 111 operator gives you the access code and instructions, you run back and use the AED and maybe save a life while waiting on the ambulance!
Have a look at the video etc on www.castlecliff.nz/AED for more information
All donations are valued so even if your family can only spare $5 you'll be listed as a sponsor!

17 February - we've passed the amount needed for the new Rangiora St AED but have discovered Aranui School has an AED - thats now listed in AEDlocations.co.nz & they want to make it publicly available with the same 24/7 111 accessed box so all extra funds will go towards that😀
Already 300 towards the 800 that will take so come on Castlecliff lets dig deep & go from being an AED blackspot to being well covered with access to 3 AEDs - the good people at Cliff Dental have announced they will be getting an AED and access cabinet too so we'll have the AEDs positioned wel in south, middle & north of Castlecliff 😀😀
$500 to go - lets do this!
