Catalina Channel - Supporting Kiwi West Aquatics
Catalina Channel swim to support Kiwi West Aquatics swimming club with funding needs.

After completing Cook Strait earlier this year, I'm taking on the Catalina Channel on 8 September.
While I haven't used my swims as fundraising before (too much pressure!), I thought I would try to make this one count for something.
I'm keen on supporting youth swimming development in Palmerston North. Like many clubs, Kiwi West Aquatics is struggling with rising costs, fewer available grants, and ageing facilities.
While this fundraiser can't fix all of those issues, hopefully we can contribute to needed projects - such as repairing our clubroom from condensation damage, or funding our junior swim camp. Every contribution will help keep swimming accessible for local kids.

Funds raised , will go towards swim camp in January 2026, Or fixing up the clubrooms, both of which are significant club costs.

Landed! 7 September 2025
Have landed in LA - staying in Long Beach, a block from the water which is very warm - so should be no issues there.
Needed a big sleep after awful cramped flight but feeling good today!
2 days to relax and get ready then into the water.
