We need Jenny and Jenny needs you. Please help us save/prolong her life with a successful treatment that's not funded in NZ.

Wellington

This is Jenny. My best mate and my baby's (fairy) god mother. Her expert hands caught Willa when she was born. Jenny has stage 4 ovarian cancer and after going through numerous treatments, the recommended and best option to save/prolong her life now is a treatment that's not funded here in Aotearoa. The treatment has had great success in the UK for treating Jenny's specific type of hormonal ovarian cancer. I desperately need your help to try and save Jenny's life or at least prolong it so she can catch Willa many more times.

This treatment costs $2,270 a month or $27,240 a year. So, can you buy jenny the equivalent of a coffee a week? A bottle of wine a month? A car (lol)? You can give in any which way you choose. A one off, a weekly or monthly donation. Anonymously or not. Even $1 will help.

Please help us save/prolong her life. I need her. Willa needs her. Her partner of 13 years and my wonderful friend, Shane, needs her. The world needs a person like Jenny on this earth. Jenny is the most bubbly, positive, caring person you'll ever meet. She exudes joy even in the face of all the horrific things she's been through. Willa calls her 'happy Jenny'. Willa's Happy Jenny doesn't need to die just because of the stupid decisions about what's funded and what's not.

Please help if you can. I know it's a tough financial time for many so please share this post if you can't afford to contribute.

With great aroha and gratitude to you all. Let's catch Jenny.

Jenny is my all time favourite. She is my child's god mother. Help us, help Jenny.

Use of funds

Trametinib at a cost of $2,270 a month or $27,240 per year in perpituity. Trametinib is considered the preferred standard of care for Jenny’s disease in the UK where it is fully funded by the NHS. In New Zealand it is not funded by Pharmac. The funds will be used to pay for Jenny’s unfunded drug each month.
