I do apologize for not updating the give a little more often. So here's a overdue update.

We have set up a Facebook page which I have been putting all our recent updates onto.

I'll post the link incase you'd like to follow along.

But Cayden finally after spending over 3 months in Christchurch hospital, Cayden was finally allowed to return to Wellington.

Our hearts are happy ❤️ our cup is full ☕️

After everything Cayden has been through he deserved to come home. And he made it.

Cayden has weekly Chemo treatments in Wellington, but apart from that we have become his nurses. We are hoping for no more hiccups and that he stays in Wellington with the odd (planned) trip to Christchurch for check up appointments.

    Welcome home Cayden 🥳

  • Caydens beads of courage 💪🏼

We'd like to start this update by again thanking everyone who has donated. We've been blown away with everyone's kindness ❤️

We don't have any major updates on Cayden and we won't have proper updates until later in June once he has gone though some extensive testing. This is hopefully when we will have a confirmed diagnosis and we will find out how he is reacting to the current treatment.

Cayden is still receiving his first cycle of treatment. This ends in a few weeks.

Cayden received his beads of courage ! He has well over 100 beads already. He gets beads for every blood transfusion, nights stay in hospital, as well as every procedure and transfusion.

Cayden was allowed to pick one glass bead unfortunately he wasn't really in the mood to pick one so Georgia picked the horse bead on his behalf. Georgia said " I saw the horse and immediately thought of riding for disabled. It resembles the courage he has shown already by getting on that horse for the first time. It took a while but he did it, much like this journey it's going to take a while but he will beat this".

    The perfect fit for Cayden.

Again thank you all for your donations, support and love ❤️

Firstly we'd to thank everyone who has donated and shared their love and support.

Though we've had a few highs in Caydens treatment we've also received some lows.

Cayden is responding well to the Chemotherapy ! His white blood cells count is going down (a good thing) and he isn't have any major reactions.

Unfortunately we've found that Cayden has 2 types of Leukemia (ALL & AML) Though this hasn't been confirmed yet as we are still waiting for certain tests to be run etc the doctors are certain due to certain markers. Both of these cancers are attacking his T-cells. We have been told that this combination of cancer attacking his T-cells with his Down Syndrome is quite rare.

Cayden has become an "international case". His doctors are communicating with doctors from around the world to find the best way to treat him.

This does mean Cayden will be in Christchurch for longer than expected.

Are hearts are still sore but we know he's in the best place getting the best care.

We will contuine to update this page as well as our social medias to keep everyone updated. Again thank you all for your kindness and support.
